Kelly Gatewood comes to AMCSI as a marriage and family therapist trainee from California Baptist University. She achieved her undergraduate degree at St. Lawrence University and her addiction studies certificate at Glendale Community College. She’s been working in mental health and substance use disorder treatment since 2009. She has been a certified substance use disorder counselor since 2017. Kelly comes to us with counselor and management experience in the addiction profession. She’s expanding her education, skills, and talents into mental health thanks to the CBU Masters in Counseling Psychology program. Kelly has a passion working with individual adults, postpartum mothers, and the post-incarceration population. She is developing more skill, interest, and curiosity to work with families, couples, and children. In her free time, Kelly enjoys listening to social justice and science podcasts, spending time with her husband and children, and visiting the beach (even in the winter).
